Job

Function:

In alignment with the vision and mission of Inclusion and Human Resources (IHR) this role is responsible for creating and delivering a broad range of organizational solutions to increase individual, team and organizational development.  The role will expose individuals to innovative training and development opportunities that are inclusive of diverse learning styles and individual preferences. The broader purpose of the role is to create organizational programs and development opportunities that promote a culture of learning and development that drives and reinforces the NCAA's vision, mission, values and overall performance. Learning and development will be measured and evaluated to assess the organization’s overall return on learning (ROL).

Job Responsibilities

  • Represent a culture of learning and development throughout the NCAA.
  • Manage the implementation and execution of a comprehensive learning program that strategically aligns with the NCAA’s learning and development framework while future proofing the needs of the business. 
  • Provide learning and development programming that incorporates thought leadership and proven training methods (e.g., VitalSmarts Crucial Conversations, Crucial Accountability, etc.).
  • Utilize the NCAA competency model structure as a foundation for building out the full cycle of talent management capabilities (recruitment, selection, engagement, performance, development, retention, succession).
  • Create and lead programming efforts that incorporate NCAA competencies and behavioral drivers of success. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders by demonstrating credibility and competence in diagnosing, designing and implementing solutions.

Job

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Advanced Degree Preferred.
  • At least five years’ experience in the design, implementation and assessment of learning and development.
  • At least three years’ experience in competency modeling and succession planning strongly preferred.
  • At least three years’ experience in adult education and curriculum design strongly preferred.
  • Crucial Conversations certification and experience strongly preferred.
