Responsibilities

  • Utilizing Sam/A.D.D.I.E Instructional Design approach complimenting a rapid/agile design philosophy.
  • Assesses, identifies and implements innovative learning solutions.
  • Manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) to provide support, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to the system.
  • Leads the evaluation, implementation, and integration of leading edge technology, courses, and tools.
  • Works with Senior Management to ensure consistent compliance with operational standards and surveys, driving continuous performance improvements across functions.
  • Identify and manage all learning metrics, design and impact.
  • Evaluates and monitors the development, effectiveness and consistency of all learning solutions in all the modalities in which they are offered.
  • Develops business improvement planning processes that aligns and prioritizes improvement projects linked to business strategy and business planning at corporate and operational levels.
  • Identifies, manages and builds relationships with industry related outlets to aide in positive publicity for the department through contributions via articles and recognition.
  • Coaches and develops direct reports.
  • Researches, organizes information, designs, and writes instructional materials (tutorials, references, audio and video scripts, story boards, eLearning courses, tests, etc.) that transform complex, industry-related information into professionally-written, interactive multimedia instruction.
  • Evaluate latest developments in management, leadership and organization. development areas ensuring all related materials are current and impactful.
  • Provides comprehensive quality assurance on all instructional materials, internal reporting and information shared by the Learning and Development department.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three (3) years of Instructional Design Management experience required.
  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ experience in program support, eLearning and Learning Management System support.
  • Master’s degree preferred in adult education, instructional design, instructional technology or closely related field.
  • Experience in leading the development of taxonomies, decision trees, data indexing, search engines and integrating knowledge management functions.
  • Well-developed quantitative and qualitative analytical skills and critical thinking skills with demonstrated competencies in planning, strategy, problem solving, decision making and delivering results.
  • Documented experience using Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Audacity and other rapid development software and Web 2.0 tools.
  • Knowledge of adult learning concepts and the activities involved with the design, preparation, delivery, evaluation and need assessments of training and development programs.
  • Experience within financial services and knowledge of related financial regulations highly preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of time.
  • CPT, CPLP or equivalent certifications preferred.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment. The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear and frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 15 pounds.
