We are hiring an Associate Director, Education & Research to expertly lead the development, implementation and quality of all veterinary scientific, leadership, communications and well-being educational content, both face-to-face and digital learning, for audiences in the veterinary or translational biomedical space. The incumbent will work closely with volunteers and subject matter experts to develop compelling and cutting-edge content relevant for veterinary internal medicine specialists and residents. Oversight of organizational research initiatives and supervision of staff responsible for research and publication-related functions are also key responsibilities.


The ideal candidate would have the following qualities and qualifications:

  • Strategic within constraints to create best outcomes
  • Efficient management of work flow across multiple product lines
  • Discerning attention to detail, creative problem solving and relationship development focus
  • Ability to work both strategically and tactically


Educational and technical requirements:

  • Relevant degree/s and 7-10 years (minimum) of progressively responsible experience creating educational content, preferably in the veterinary, medical and/or related fields, including supervision responsibilities. DVM experience a plus.
  • Ability to apply adult learning theory to curriculum development as well as a passion for adult education and / or creating innovative learning experiences.
  • Grant and / or Fellowship administration experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with professional journal publications and processes recommended.
  • Demonstrated success in consensus building and working collaboratively to address the needs and recognize the contributions of a diverse group of stakeholders.
  • Advanced level of experience with Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge or experience with association management systems, Adobe Acrobat, online forms and online education systems a plus. Proven ability to learn new software applications with relative ease.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously with an eye for details under sometimes aggressive timelines.
