The Associate Manager - Manufacturing Training will develop and implement non-technical training programs, projects and infrastructure to improve employee capability. This is a unique position located in Richmond, VA but supporting U.S. Smokeless Tobacco facilities in the Nashville, TN area. Responsibilities * Design and maintain Salaried & Hourly Leadership development programs and the USSTC Training System to deliver ongoing USSTC/Cross Tobacco Operating Company Manufacturing/Altria leadership and organization development programs, including faculty training, and event planning. Manage projects, facilitate cross-factory teams to develop new training programs/content.(Website, CBTs, Classroom/lunch & Learns, etc) * Design, manage and execute Manufacturing Leadership Development System program for USSTC Manufacturing functions - to include recruiting (University Relations), career advancement/job rotational process; Cross Tobacco Operating Company representation on recruiting and intern/full-time hiring teams (MLDS) * Design, execute & manage (scorecard) measurement processes to analyze and evaluate effectiveness of USSTC training and workforce development programs - report people measures via scorecard (monthly) - training, ideas, etc. * Identify and maintain relationships with internal & external service providers integrating best practices and effectively consult, coach, develop and motivate cross-functional USSTC team members and program faculty to teach/reinforce the Altria Mission, Our Leadership Advantage & Values - Lead leadership forums, Immersions, etc) * Lead - Design, Implement & Evaluate - USSTC's Diversity & Inclusion efforts in support of the Altria Mission. * Design & Manage on-site USSTC University - adult learning center including certified professional teaching staff to provide continuing education opportunities for hourly/salaried workforce * Design, Implement and Manage delivery of process and tools training to factory and Subject Matter Experts; hourly/salaried to include best practice sharing across all Altria training groups and maintain Innovation Central & Level 4/5 Processes - reporting progress monthly via scorecard - including challenges linked to scorecard measures. Qualifications * Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience with function-wide leadership and management development or equivalent relevant work experience. Experience leading and working with teams in a manufacturing environment, preferred. * Attention to detail. Knowledge and capability in data collection and analysis. * Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and related products. Knowledge and experience working with SAP HR preferred. * Ability to effectively and independently manage resources - prioritize, organize, and delegate/collaborate on workloads/assignments to handle multiple priorities and requests and work within defined time constraints. * Ability to establish and manage contracts with outside vendors/suppliers (e.g., CBT vendor management). * Highly developed leadership, initiative, verbal/written communication and problem solving skills * Project/program management with an emphasis on leadership and management development or training * Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to support U.S Smokeless Tobacco operations employees.
