Change Management Specialist

ITS Enterprise Applications develops and implements software solutions for University enterprises and other campus users. The team supports existing applications within the University’s ConnectCarolina enterprise report management system, including ConnectCarolina’s finance, human resources and payroll pieces and Student Administration (formerly Campus Solutions).

 

The Change Management Specialist handles a variety of assignments related to preparing faculty, staff, and students for changes to ConnectCarolina and other Enterprise Applications systems.  Work activities include analyzing stakeholders and business processes for change initiatives, developing change management-related communications campaigns, coordinating and facilitating user engagement activities (such as user group meetings and the user conference), writing end-user documentation, and designing and delivering training. The Change Management Specialist may also help with developing graphics and with updating and maintaining websites.

Requirements

The following experience is required:

•Experience in a change management, communications, training, documentation, or business analysis role.

•Excellent written and spoken communication skills. Able to write and speak in a clear, approachable, and professional style.

•Familiar with concepts, tools and techniques related to one or more of these fields:  training, documentation, communications, change management.

•Excellent people skills. Able to interact professionally and constructively with faculty, staff, and students across campus even under challenging circumstances.

•Able to act with a high degree of independent decision-making.

•Able to develop an understanding of the University’s structure, policies, concerns, and sensitivities and reflect that understanding in approaches to communications, training, and change management activities.

Able to cope with change, uncertainty, shifting priorities, and demanding deadlines. Remains flexible and focused when priorities change, even if changes result in rework.

Bachelor’s degree preferred.  Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
