Scope of Job:

This position is responsible for developing effective, cutting-edge, and scalable digital learning solutions like social learning, action learning, eLearning, virtual and augmented realities, instructor led and classroom learning solutions that align with the overall company-wide Learning & Development strategy to achieve desired business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

 

40% - Strategy & Supervision:

 

  • Oversees the Digital Learning Solutions segment of the learning and development function and strategically contributes to an environment of innovation, collaboration, and overall educational excellence. 

  • Designs the Digital Learning Strategic plan and objectives, manages and develops talent, evaluates client requirements and assesses, designs, develops, and evaluates innovative and customized learning solutions to meet needs, effectively interfacing with internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Demonstrates strong expertise in expertise in: creative content development, instructional design, implementation and roll out of training courseware through a variety of learning solutions. 

  • Create new ideas for enhancing our client user experience

  • Design, develop, and implement scalable blended learning programs to cater to all locations company-wide, by leveraging e-learning, mobile learning, virtual classrooms and other emerging technologies.

  • Actively manage and improve existing learning programs, develop L&D processes and guidelines, and manage relationships with external partners and vendors as needed.

  • Work with the Talent Development team to translate operational rollouts and procedures into compelling and effective training courses including written, video, instructor led training (ILT) and e-learning formats.

  • Collaborate with internal customers and key stakeholders to understand learning needs and identify performance gaps and create leading-edge learning solutions to meet those objectives.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert in digital learning trends, emerging technologies, and provide thought leadership in continuously exploring new and innovative approaches for an integrated learning experience.

  • Actively research evolving trends in the field of learning and recommend innovative training tools and technique to deliver cutting-edge design solutions.

30% - E-Learning Graphic Design and Multimedia Development:

  • Use adult learning theory, e-learning design principles and a variety of authoring tools such as Storyline 3/360 and Camtasia to create fully developed, production-ready videos, e-learning and mobile learning courses.

  • Design and develop interactive and experiential learning elements, such as practice exercises, knowledge checks, exploratory activities, games, and simulations.

  • Convert and redevelop existing instructor-led training to digital interactive training by partnering with subject matter experts.

  • Apply (UI/UX) principles to create custom designs, templates and user interfaces for a variety of learning outputs.

  • Records, manipulates and edits audio voiceovers and sound effects using Adobe Audition.

  • Manipulates and edits digital imagery, video, graphics, animations, sound, text and effects to create consolidated multimedia output for e-learning, instructor-led training, job aids and presentations.

15% - Project and Program Management:

  • Utilize different project management and computer applications to collaboratively plan, report against, and execute a wide variety of learning projects, initiatives and programs.

  • Assist with change management activities to effectively market and increase adoption of learning programs.

  • Prepares project plans, estimates, negotiates & manages costs, identifies risks, resolves issues, and communicates project status.

  • Ensures timely delivery of services, adheres to quality and meets high levels of customer satisfaction.

  • Leads projects and other initiatives to provide technical and business advice to the business stakeholders.

  • Works with learning providers across the organization to strategize the most effective use of the Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Uses the LMS and other tools to author and manage learning courses, curricula, communications, attendance, evaluations, and reports and follow up learning connectivity for distinct communities of learners.

  • Effectively communicates with various project collaborators, including other technology providers, to ensure that the customer/learner’s learning needs and goals are understood and met.

     

10% - Learning Analytics:

  • Develop a “value and impact scoreboard” with 5-10 key metrics for each learning program by utilizing Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Learning Evaluation model.

  • Analyze effectiveness and efficiency of learning solutions delivered. Proactively communicate progress and insights to senior leadership, and partner with stakeholders to improve programs over time.

5% - Other duties as assigned (Do not delete from job description)

Supervision of Others:

Three direct reports.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

Typically requires a 4-Year Bachelor’s degree (Preferably in Instructional Design, Multimedia Design, or Psychology) with experience in online instruction development, teaching experience, online, hybrid or face-to-face. Demonstrated experience in building online programs & team processes.

 

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

Requires knowledge of 4-Year Bachelor’s degree (Preferably in Instructional Design, Multimedia Design, or Psychology)

Passionate at learning new things, with a drive for continuous improvement.

Knowledge in adult learning and instructional design models, including ADDIE and Agile approaches.

Technical aptitude with new technologies and blended learning solutions.

Strong proficiency in using Articulate Storyline, or similar authoring tool to custom interactions and complex robust e-learning courseware.

Familiarity in working with SCORM, XAPI and HTML5 web outputs, and leveraging custom HTML, JavaScript, CSS and XAPI.

Proficiency in Camtasia and Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro, InDesign, etc.) to develop multimedia assets.

Experience working with and/or administering Learning Management Systems, including uploading courses, testing, creating learning assignments, setting up notifications, and configuring custom reports. Experience with an HRIS/LMS platform is required.

Extensive working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), multi-media interactive authoring software as well as strong PowerPoint, HTML and MS Office Word skills is required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to create clear and persuasive messaging to different audiences.

Excellent project management skills. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize, manage, and complete projects with tight deadlines.

Competence with developing measurement and evaluation strategies, and analyzing data for effectiveness, efficiency, and other learning trends.

 

Working Conditions:

 

Approximately 45% of time is spent in the office environment, designing, developing courseware, Managing & developing people and utilizing technology (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. Approximately 30% is spent on delivering in-person, live training & facilitation. Approximately 25% of time is spent outside of the office visiting vendors’ and/or internal customers’ sites in additional to attending various conferences and meetings.
