Why PPSAT?

As the Director of Learning and Development, you will work with passionate, mission focused health care professionals across a 300+ employee, 14 clinic affiliate.  As part of the Organizational Development team, you will have colleagues in Human Resources and Training to support your work.  Lastly, you will be leading work that is recognized throughout the affiliate as mission critical.
 

Your contributions to the organization would include:

    • In partnership with the VP of Organizational Development (OD), develop and implement an organizational-wide learning and development strategy, creating programs based on job categories and developing competencies to ensure learning and follow up systems for behavior change.
    • Effectively lead, mentor and grow a team of training professionals.
    • Ensure the effective planning, coordination and completion of all training and development programs.
    • Research, plan, organize, conduct, track, and evaluate staff training programs by assessing staff needs; develop curricula, and ensure quality of the training provided.
    • Build upon existing and develop new innovative talent development programs and processes to improve the engagement, performance, and movement of employees across the organization
    • Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to develop training curricula and training manuals for various positions throughout the affiliate.
    • Develop training assessment tools and processes to ensure staff is adequately prepared for their roles.
    • Work with the VP of Patient Services, Medical Director, SME’s and Instructors to set objectives, standards and procedures for clinical training for Health Center staff.
    • Responsible for the selection, administration and development of all learning management systems.

Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field from accredited college or university.
    • Four to six years’ experience in direct training position, education, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
    • Minimum two year management/supervisory experience.
    • Deep familiarity with best practices in creating and facilitating adult education and corporate training, including health care technical training
    • Extensive experience with instructional design, program development and facilitation, organizational design, and organizational advising.
    • Experienced in developing, overseeing, and/ or working in a Virtual Learning Environment
    • Proven experience developing and implementing training curricula.
    • Ability to travel across a 4 state region 30-40% of the time annually.
