Essential Functions: This position advances the Department of Judicial Education’s (DJE) strategic effort to refine the Department’s operation, streamline and make more efficient its business processes and implement  technology by developing and implementing efficient systems for managing special projects; providing design and development assistance for online courses; designing resource materials and marketing tools; and conducting critical research on cutting-edge topics that directly affect our judges and magistrates. Serves as secondary registrar for Judicial College programs and acts as a resource for judges, magistrates, and DJE course coordinators/faculty. Designs , develops and manages databases, acts as the SharePoint administrator, uses Adobe Acrobat to assists with digital course materials, and acts as senior staff in the preparation of PowerPoint, OptionPower and other audio -visual presentations. Designs and maintains benchcards and booklets for Judges and Magistrates. Designs webpages for special programs. Promotes the Judicial College’s vision and mission. Performs other duties as necessary.

Education: Associate’s Degree from an accredited college or University.

Experience: 3 years of experience in a relevant work environment.

Notes: Additional work experience may be substituted for education requirement on a year for year basis.

Preferred: Experience in Microsoft Office Professional Suite 2013; MS Access; Adobe Acrobat Pro; Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); Captivate; Storyline; Camtasia; GoAnimate.Bachelor’s Degree in law or related field or a 4-year Degree with a Paralegal Certificate. Experience with Canvas’ Learning Management System. Knowledge of HTML coding.

Skills/Abilities: Working knowledge and understanding of Maryland legal system. Ability to perform essential functions of the job using the following software: Microsoft Office Professional Suite 2013; MS Access; Adobe Acrobat Pro; Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign); Captivate; Storyline; Camtasia; GoAnimate. Ability to collaborate with vendors on print projects and other branded items. Ability to maintain a proactive, results-oriented focus toward product deliverables. Ability to demonstrate excellent communication skills: verbal, written, and interpersonal. Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail. Ability to demonstrate advanced skills in analytical and critical thinking. Ability to exercise independent judgment and solve problems in creative and productive ways. Ability to prioritize tasks in order of deadline and importance. Must possess excellent project management skills. Ability to adapt and learn new procedures and/or software programs. Ability to demonstrate a basic knowledge of audio and video editing skills (Adobe Audition and Premiere Pro preferred). Ability to work quickly and effectively under time pressure.

Salary: $50,067*
