This position will assist in all aspects of user support for the Nationwide Multi-State Licensing System & Registry (NMLS), as well as any applications or systems with which it interfaces. This position will also provide learning and development support for CSBS and SRR projects enabling organizational efficiencies and alignment. Duties include producing high-quality documentation that is appropriate for its intended audience. These audiences include state regulatory agencies, industry firms and individuals, CSBS staff and call center representatives. In this capacity, the individual will play a key role in improving the productivity of over half a million people.

 

The eLearning Specialist will analyze learning needs and partner with subject matter experts to provide input for course content and works with management to ensure course materials are current and relevant to business needs. The eLearning Specialist will design and develop eLearning courseware, performance support tools, online tutorials and system demonstrations that effectively address learner needs.

Design, develop and implement eLearning, learning resources, and digital materials for classroom trainings; including the necessary storyboards, outlines, and project plans.

Lead the development, design and maintenance of new and existing learning solutions using adult learning principles.

 

Develop materials to support Synchronous eLearning, Asynchronous eLearning, Blended Learning and Micro-Learning.

 

Review and edit existing materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content and methods of delivery.

 

Provide instructional design, learning technology, graphic/media design, and learning management system integration.

 

Collaborates proactively and effectively with subject matter experts to create curricula that addresses business needs.

 

Apply established instructional design standards to produce content in logical eLearning sequences for maximum learner retention.

 

Evaluate the effectiveness of training design through the creation of assessments and evaluations that gauge learning mastery.

 

Stay current on latest issues, technology and methods of online learning through research, networking, and attending/or presenting at conferences.

 

Additional Responsibilities

 

Provide support for LMS administration as needed including catalog management, publishing, and technical interface support.

 

Assist in the deployment of best practices in eLearning design technologies and methodologies and benchmarking for improving learning solutions.

 

Conduct training sessions for users as needed.

 

Requirements

Education and Experience


Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design/Technology, Education or related field.

 

Master’s degree preferred.

 

Minimum of three to five years of experience developing eLearning solutions in a business environment.

 

Experience in applying instructional design and adult learning principles in training/eLearning.

 

Proficiency in multiple authoring tools (e.g. Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia) to develop interactive multimedia learning modules.

 

Experience with LMS management a plus.

Ability to work in collaboration with a variety of stakeholders to identify opportunities, discuss issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.

 

Manage multiple, complex projects with tight deadlines and time-critical deliverables through their entire life cycle.

 

Demonstrable public speaking/training skills.


Experience with MS Office suite, Adobe Photoshop and SharePoint.
