Summary of Position:

The Enterprise LMS Administrator provides expertise and leadership in LMS technology related to the implementation and ongoing support of LSAC U (LSAC’s LMS). The LMS Administrator works collaboratively with LSAC boundary leads, boundary LMS administrators, and instructional designers in the use and maintenance of their unique, branded domain of LSAC U, troubleshoots their technical issues and develops functional solutions in support of their strategic learning and development goals.

  • Configures, maintains, and oversees LSAC’s Learning Management System (LMS) application, its unique, branded domains, content, and associated tools.
  • Manages the day-to-day operation, customization, upgrades, usage, analysis, and administration of the LMS content.
  • Serves as Lead SME on all LMS-related IT implementation projects, integrations, and release teams to establish the team’s critical understanding and technical details of the platform.
  • Ensures consistent, well-integrated, and well-documented database infrastructure and smooth integration between LMS and LSAC data sources.
  • Serves as LMS Lead/SME on all cross-boundary implementation teams ensuring that requirements, training processes, procedures, manuals, and quality standards related to the use and administration of the LMS and course content are well-documented, clearly articulated, and adopted by boundary stakeholders.
  • Develops and implements quality standards, policies, and procedures ensuring that the LMS and all eLearning content meet LSAC branding guidelines and Section 508, WCAG AA accessibility standards.
  • Communicates changes, updates, and downtime to boundary LMS administrators, content owners, training managers, and instructional designers, and coordinates messaging to learning audiences.
  • Creates and facilitates frequent boundary/sub-boundary LMS training, ranging from basic to advanced level skills.
  • Creates and manages overall course structure and sets up course programs based on specifications from Instructional Designers.
  • Publishes and archives eLearning or blended learning courses, assigns training curricula, and adds and deletes learning resources.
  • Compiles and analyzes LMS data, and develops, writes, and presents comprehensive reports.
  • Develops and maintains strong, customer-focused relationships with boundary owners, boundary LMS administrators, content owners, training managers, and others.
  • In coordination with Program Management, tracks milestones and provides written status reports to Director.
  • Provides customer-focused technical support to boundary LMS administrators, content owners, training managers, instructional designers, and/or learning audiences and serves as the point of escalation for support issues with vendors as needed.
  • Maintain industry and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops/conferences, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and maintaining membership in professional associations or societies.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Competencies:

  • Solid knowledge and experience with implementation and administration of LMS platforms.
  • Solid knowledge of content management, SCORM, xAPI, and/or AICC content standards.
  • Ability to communicate well with technical and non-technical users, and structure written and verbal information to meet the needs and understanding of the intended audience.
  • Strong interpersonal, lateral management, collaboration, and change management skills.
  • Experience identifying operational issues, making recommendations, and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Experience accomplishing goals with little or no supervision and determining when escalation of issues is necessary.
  • Strong organizational problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated success with large-scale projects delivering on-time, on-budget results in complex environments.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of various eLearning authoring tools (Articulate, Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia), and virtual training platforms (WebEx, GoToMeeting, etc.).

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3-years Learning Management System Administration experience.
  • Cornerstone OnDemand LMS Certified (practitioner level) ideal.
  • Web content and digital design skills a plus.
