Provide overall direction in the design and delivery of programs, customized coaching and skill development and initiatives that enhance the performance of the organization, and the effectiveness of our employees. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assess the University’s learning needs and develop and deploy a University-wide learning plan
  • Develop and design blended learning strategies to enhance the skill sets of University staff; and strategies to support managerial staff in their roles to support and deliver upon the University’s mission and to manage the University’s workforce
  • Partner with leadership/management to develop change management competencies to ensure successful execution of projects and initiatives
  • Identify gaps and develop leadership initiatives to support and deliver upon the University’s mission
  • Develop, design and deliver rewards/recognition programs that support the University’s business objectives
  • Assess departmental organizational issues and capabilities, identify competency and talent gaps, and develop, execute appropriate strategies and solutions to enhance performance and build people management skills
  • Develop communication strategies and prepare materials to support initiatives
  • Maintain awareness and knowledge of contemporary organizational development theory, methods, and provide suitable interpretation to the leadership and management team
  • Evaluate and measure results of learning and development initiatives
  • Fulfill the role of “thought partner and coach” for leadership on organizational effectiveness topics
  • Facilitation and delivery of content for management, leadership, customized learning programs and sessions
  • Design and develop strategies for BU specific elearning, micro learning, job aids etc.
  • Demonstrate commitment and alignment with HR mission, vison, values.

Requirements

  • 10 years of progressive responsibility in organizational development and staff & management development that have demonstrated impactful outcomes
  • Master’s degree in OD, Education, Communications or other related fields
  • Strong collaborative work style with demonstrated ability to maneuver amongst various work styles
  • Demonstrated ability to influence leadership/management teams and other HR partners
  • Strong planning leadership, project management and analytical skills
  • Strong verbal, written communication, presentation and relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated success in managing a team
  • Challenges your thinking. Causes you to modify or change your paradigms, assumptions or actions. Has information or a way of thinking that provokes you to innovate or otherwise leads to value creation in your business, career or life.
