Field Sales Trainer

  • Design, edit, and implement new hire training for our Outside Security Consultants
  • Partner with the Sales management team to identify opportunities for improvement and development of current Outside Security Consultants
  • Facilitate training across departments to augment employee understanding of all aspects of the business, such as but not limited to customer base, field sales techniques, and product
  • Analyze current training approach, identify areas for enhancement and modification, and create and implement refined processes that ensure effective initial training of new employees, as well as supplemental sessions and exercises that increase the overall level of performance
  • Proactively evaluate the success of all training programs through established or created metrics, both in terms of employee performance pre and post-training as well as the overall business impact
  • Facilitate regularly scheduled, ongoing training classes on such topics as new and existing processes, technologies  and sales/customer service techniques
  • Coach and train Security Consultants in a professional manner
  • Provides updates to management regarding progress and performance
  • Work closely with the Director of Training to promote the Learning Management System (CPI University) throughout the organization
  • Maintain CPI University as well as Field Sales-specific spreadsheets and reports
  • May have additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent business experience
  • 3+ years experience in delivery, design and development of training modules; OR, 3+ years experience in a Field Sales supervisory role training/coaching Sales representatives
  • 3+ years field sales experience or training field sales
  • Training Certifications (ATD, Langevin, etc.) a plus
  • Must be able to develop and maintain a high-level understanding of all company policies, procedures and protocol
  • Demonstrate malleability and aptitude to learn, process, and effectively implement new policies and procedures as corporate standards are modified over time
  • Must possess strong analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented, creative, and decisive
  • Strong oral and written communicative abilities
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Must display a high degree of professionalism
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting
  • Ability to adopt to quick business changes
  • Sense of ownership and satisfaction with your performance and its impact on the organization
  • Want and will to maximize sales representative’s effectiveness
  • Exposure to CRM systems or Salesforce a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office suite of products
  • Moderate travel may be required ~ 25 – 30%
