The Association for Talent Development (ATD), is the world’s largest association dedicated to those who develop talent in organizations. These professionals take the knowledge, skills, and abilities of others and help them achieve their full potential. We are currently seeking an Instructional Design Project Specialist in our Education Department to support development of online, on demand, and face to face courses for the talent development profession. 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of course materials, including instructional design, research, review, and formatting, working in partnership with Instructional Design Project Managers (IDPMs)Make revisions to course materials based on documented feedback from participants, facilitators, and IDPMs.
  • Own the knowledge management process for ATD’s catalog of courses:
  • Maintain file storage for education programs ensuring proper archiving and version control.
  • Request copyright permissions from copyright owners for use of intellectual property as needed and maintain a database of requests.
  • Maintain feedback from facilitators on requested revisions to course materials.
  • Review courses in LMS to ensure accurate set-up of materials.
  • Assist in curriculum planning by scanning ATD primary research and conducting market research on current trends in talent development education.
  • Assist in updating and maintaining supporting project management documentation.
  • Review and test E-Learning courses as assigned.
  • Participate on special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Experience working in an office setting coordinating activities and process
  • Possess a passion for a fast-paced technology inspired culture with the ability to work in a dynamic environment, consistently demonstrating positive business acumen
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent skills in problem-solving, interpersonal communication, writing/editing, planning, organization, time management, multi-tasking, productivity, and efficiency
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced and cross-functional work environment
