The Holland America Group is currently searching for a highly motivated Instructional Design Specialist (PCL/POA) who will create engaging learning experiences in support of business goals, with a focus onsupporting the Princess Cruise Line and POA fleets.

Responsibilities

  • Create engaging learning experiences and content that enhance retention and transfer
  • Work with subject matter experts to identify target audience's training needs and develop effectivelearning solutions
  • State instructional end goals and create content that matches them
  • Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts; develop deep understanding ofshipboard environment and associated constraints
  • Apply tested instructional design theories, practice and methods
  • Analyze and select technologies; create instructional material/media across varied deliverymethodologies (instructor-led training, video production, e-learning, performance support, etc.)
  • Decide on the criteria used to judge learner's performance and develop evaluation instruments
  • Develop and maintain learning program documentation, collaborating closely with the LearningOperations & Program Management team to support implementation and sustainability of learning programs
  • Build in Diversity & Inclusion considerations into all learning solutions

Requirements

  • BS or MA degree in instructional design, educational technology or similar post­-secondary degree inAdult Education, Learning & Development, Human Resources, Talent Management, combined withcommensurate experience
  • CPLP or equivalent designation preferred
  • 5 years of proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology
  • Excellent knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models
