As the Care Management Instructional Developer, you will be an important part of the LIFEPlan Program Operations and Development team, impacting the work of hundreds of Care Managers across the LIFEPlan territory who serve over 18,000 LIFEPlan members. You will work closely with subject matter experts to develop, coordinate and execute innovative training and educational programming to advance care management service standards. LIFEPLan’s vison, values and aesthetics will be integrated into all training and programming which will be enhanced by high-end multimedia and video as well as classroom materials and facilitator guides. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Program Operations, this position will work within a team environment to provide outstanding learning and professional development opportunities for LIFEPlan employees.

Responsibilities:

  • 70% Implement course curriculums using proven methodologies including the comprehensive integration of digital technologies (VR, video lectures, games, interactive assessments, instructional videos, e-learning, etc.) to achieve desired learning outcomes. Partner with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to vet and align content integrity; conduct independent research as needed. Use project management skills, tools and timelines to ensure deadlines are met.  Design and facilitate small and large group training activities as needed. Develop train-the-trainer skills in the regional care management teams. Direct and edit video content to produce high-quality multimedia content. Organize physical and digital resources for training staff and trainees. Design and develop live virtual learning and classroom materials including slide decks, activity sheets, facilitator guides. Design and develop online learning modules using authoring tools such as Articulate and Storyline.

 

  • 10% Develop training course assessments to measure, evaluate and refine outcomes. Ensure design consistency across all deliverables. Develop strong Health Home Model, DOH and OPWDD expertise to ensure the implementation of accurate content. Research and evaluate new and emerging technologies, instructional design theories, and innovative approaches for potential application.

 

  • 20% Upload training into Learning and Management System (LMS). Create training modules and organize content in a way that is most efficient for staff understanding. Facilitate and deliver training, orientation and other program and operations workshops across geographies, in person and via webinar.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of job-related instructional experience preferably in the OPWDD ID/DD services sector, is required.
  • Proven communication and presentation skills are required.
  • Excellent computer and instructional design technology skills including video and other digital technologies (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel are required.) The ability to navigate authoring tools is required.
  • The ability to quickly grasp new technologies, LIFEPlan business, Program Development, Program Operations and Care Management goals as well as user health information technology software such as Medisked is required.
  • Hands-on experience with Learning Management Software (LMS), (preferably Relias) and familiarity with video editing software is preferred.
  • Experience in engaging stakeholders and subject matter experts to complete high quality outcomes.
  • Collaborative, proactive team player with a strong execution and service orientation and proven project management skills.
  • Proven innovative design approach that is not constrained by available tools.
