Seeking instructional designers and trainers with expertise in interactive program strategies (problem- and project-based learning, case-based learning, role-plays, gamification, group development, dialogue & deliberation, etc.) to develop and/or deliver workshops for delivery in 2020.

Design Guidelines

Workshops will focus on one interactive strategy.

These are online, blended learning workshops using an LMS and Videoconferencing.

Workshops will follow a four-module / one-month format with four 90-minute weekly video conferences.

Program participants will be curriculum developers, teachers, and “solopreneurs” (Mentors, Designers, Coaches, Trainers, Authors, Counselors, SMEs, etc.).

Expected participant workload: 4-5 hours/week, with extensions for further research

Small group based (but able to support multiple small groups).

Participants will practice and deliver or present a project of their design using the model being taught for application in their organization/school or one of four content areas: civics/consumer education, career development, professional development, or life/soft skills/wellbeing.

Final projects to be presented at a concluding ½ day meeting.

Program will include:

-          Core curriculum providing background, rationale, and instruction for the development of the interactive model.

-          Group formation and ice-breaking activity, demonstrating the model being taught.

-          Weekly discussions.

-          A four-stage project plan for participants to develop and deliver a project using the model.

-          Program syllabus.

-          A collection of source and background materials and extensions for further study.

-          Templates and checklists for participants to use in constructing programs using the model.

Facilitator’s Guide

-          Weekly agendas.

-          Best practices and guidance for the development of the interactive model.

-          Best practices and guidance for the delivery of the interactive model.

-          Examples and case studies of the interactive model for each of the four content areas.

-          Project assignments for each of the four content areas enough for participants to use if they don’t have a project to develop.

Candidates must have education and background in curriculum design, with expertise in the interactive model to be developed. Advanced degree preferred, but practical experience and expertise is required.
