About The Role

The Learning and Development Specialist will deliver training and talent development initiatives that enhance associate and team capabilities for a fast-paced, technology-driven company.  They will support interventions that directly support the highest priority initiatives for the Human Resources Department and drive the Key Results for the company.

Delivering dynamic solutions for our geographically dispersed employee population is a must. As such, developing multiple channels for both information transfer, retention and sustainability that go beyond in-person encounters will be crucial to the success of this position. 

The ideal candidate, working closely with the business, will document standard operating procedures, train both job and soft skills, and deploy solutions that drive associate and team capability to enable the business to meet their organizational objectives.  The scope will include:

Learning / Training Delivery

Operations Training Support

Instructional Design

Supporting Leadership and Talent Development Initiatives

Technology administration (LMS, Go To Training, Articulate, Vimeo)

  • Conducts needs analysis, performance consulting, program design, development, execution and ongoing program management and evaluation.
  • Delivers both job skills and soft skills training, in person and virtually, for associates and external partners
  • Leverages technical expertise/experience and organizational knowledge to lead the development, coordination, and implementation of critical programs within the organization.
  • Follows industry trends, provides thought leadership and makes recommendations for programs and activities to encourage associate engagement, retention, inclusion, and growth.
  • Administration and coordination of training and or talent initiatives through a learning management system (LMS), web-based platform (Go To Training) or other methods
  • Coordinates partnerships with vendors.

Requirements

About You

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • 0-3 years of Training, Talent Development or HR field. Operations experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in training delivery (Adult Learning, Classroom Management, ILT & VLT)
  • Leverage Instructional Design background to conduct needs analysis, design for both IL and web-based delivery, develops collateral and uses data and metrics in the overall approach. Experience with authoring tools.  Articulate Storyline preferred.
  • Strong relationship management skills and ability to a partnership with business unit leaders and collaborate with HR partners in a fast-paced, fast-growth, and complex business environment. 
  • Uses data to articulate success and sustainability strategy for assigned programs.
  • Highly articulate communication skills.  I.e. Writes well-structured and persuasive end products, probes deep on key issues, draws client into issue identification and problem-solving, articulate and persuasive, synthesizes information well, is in command of the audience and turns presentations into constructive dialogues, develops comprehensive communication plans.
  • Project Management experience.  Leveraging techniques and tools for small to medium scale talent development projects. (Project Plan Development, Execution, Control, and Evaluation)
  • Customer service focus and a collaborative team-oriented attitude balanced with the ability to work independently
  • Articulating and driving results to achieve team MBO's

  • Capability to focus on delivering priorities and succeeding in a fast-paced company with high expectations
  • Strong business acumen and a solid understanding of business fundamentals and processes.
