We currently have an opening for a Learning Designer to join our team of research, consulting, and advisory professionals focused on helping clients implement the Challenger™ Sales & Marketing model and the Effortless Experience™ Service model.

The objective of the role is to help identify, develop, launch, deliver and improve products that will help our clients compete more effectively in their marketplace. It is an exciting opportunity to continue to grow our business based on the tremendous success of The Challenger Sale and The Challenger Customer, which represents a transformative look at successful sales and marketing.

Learning Designers fill a very dynamic role on the Product team with most of their time spent working with subject matter experts (SMEs) and production teams to create unique, interactive learning experiences (virtual and live training) aimed at enhancing the performance of individuals in sales and customer service functions. Daily activities can include exploration to define new product hypotheses, conducting customer research, partnering with graphic design and digital technology teams to develop learning experiences for classroom or eLearning, project managing and presenting work to internal and external teams, and supporting client integration of solutions based on the Challenger Sale and Challenger Customer.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • In collaboration with Learning Designers and SMEs, conceptualize, scope, author and test course materials, activities, and assessments that are aligned with learning outcomes
  • Independently conduct customer and stakeholder interviews and prepare thoughtful, accurate and detailed interview notes that guide product development
  • Lead the design and development of off-the-shelf toolkits and resources that drive acquisition and application of the behavior-centered skills (e.g. Live training materials, virtual course outlines, facilitator guides, ideation games and exercises)
  • Remain abreast of instructional design, learning principles, and trends within scope of expertise to provide ideas, guidance and recommendations
  • Clearly articulate and justify strategic recommendations and provide a detailed path on how to achieve them
  • Dissect problems using qualitative and quantitative research and analysis skills, inductive and deductive reasoning, abstract thinking and root-cause analysis
  • Make recommendations based on data for course revisions and assist SMEs with revisions as needed
  • Liaise with stakeholders to troubleshoot errors or problems with learning content, facilitate timely resolution, escalate as appropriate
  • Provide exceptional service as a point of contact for individuals external to the Learning Design and Product team

Requirements

  • 4 - 10 years’ experience in instructional/learning design, education, or program design, ideally with classroom experience
  • Graduate degree(s) preferred
  • Excellent business acumen and strong workshop skills
  • Demonstrated team management and leadership capabilities
  • Ability to work either independently or in a team environment, depending on the task at hand.
  • High energy, positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Passion for research, analysis and insight generation against ambiguous challenges
  • Original / creative thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Superior project and process management skills
  • Highly polished client-facing presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Superior oral and written communication skills, including visual depiction of insights and ideas
  • Languages would be considered an advantage as would experience of having lived or worked abroad
