Summary

The Learning & Development Specialist works as part of the Human Resources Department. Design, develop and administer impactful learning experiences, programs and materials to help support and increase overall business results. Ideal candidates should be proficient in communication and implementation of learning content that maximizes associate performance and aligns with company objectives and goals.

Expected Work -Primary Goals

  • Identify target audience needs and creates engaging learning solutions and compelling course content that enhances retention growth and development of associates
  • Design, script and develop effective learning solutions with a global reach that set the standard for consistent training within the organization—including facilitator-led experiences, mobile / e-learning experiences, and job aids. Ability to determine best delivery and media methods based on coursework and audience.
  • Recommend and coordinate updates to existing training material to ensure continuous improvement of learning content and delivery techniques.
  • Analyze training project requests, and identify learning objectives, instructional design solutions to close performance gaps
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content is accurate and thorough
    • Utilize a blended learning approach, including print, audio, visual, and multimedia. Select the appropriate format for the target audience or content.
    • Evaluate and confirm learning objectives and program results through ongoing needs assessments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered in:instructional design, facilitation, people management, coaching and development
  • Deliver superior quality of work
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of Articulate 360 (Storyline, Studio, Replay)
  • Retail experience a plus
