Essential Job Functions

Leverage a variety of sources to conduct research and gain subject matter expertise required to develop training content in a wide variety of subject matter.

Identify appropriate delivery methods based upon content to ensure knowledge transfer, as well as efficiency in training implementation.

Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff; handles employee concerns and problems; directs work; counsels and disciplines staff; completes employee performance appraisals; recruits, appoints, and trains staff.

Leverage systems and tools to build programs and curriculum aligned with adult learning principles.

Create and distribute short training videos and other digital content.

Conduct needs assessment to determine core curriculum and other related development activities with employees and management.

Track and analyze training data.

Provide guidance to managers and employees on proper usage of on-line training tools.

Contribute to cross-functional HR initiatives.

Responsible for enhancing and maintaining tools and delivery methods for various training programs as assigned.

Collaborate with HR team and managers within the stores to identify training needs, as well as the most effective methods and timing of training delivery.

Develop ideas and proposals for continuous improvement of training tools and infrastructure.

Develop tools and processes to measure effectiveness of curriculum to ensure trainings meet skill-development requirements.

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to meet business needs.

Strong skills in leveraging tools and technologies for developing and delivering effective on-line and in-person training courses and content is required.

Must be able to demonstrate the ability to take complex ideas and large amounts of information, and condense into key learning concepts and principals appropriate for audience.

Must have a strong ability to analyze and solve problems.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or Human Resource Management; with four (4) years of experience in professional training and development at the management level; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. 

A valid drivers license is required.
