The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is a research university and academic health center that discovers, teaches and applies knowledge for the intellectual, cultural, social and economic benefit of Birmingham, the state and beyond. The Manager, IT Training is responsible for management and oversight of the IT training life cycle, including needs analysis, training strategy and development and delivery of training programs and tools for IT professionals and end-users. This role interacts with all levels of employees, managers and leadership in the planning and delivery of programs and leads the analysis of current skills to identify skill gaps and works to prioritize skills training and development imperatives. The Manager will commit to fostering an environment of heightened security following Information Technology Security Policies and participating in security training, such as Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), on an annual basis.
