Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) is the premier association for CPAs in Pennsylvania with more than 22,000 members working in public accounting, industry, government and education. PICPA is seeking an individual to fill the role of Manager – Learning & Development. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated strong skills in the management of both people and projects.

 

As the Manager – Learning & Development of a successful association, you’ll manage a team of professionals to engage and serve PICPA members through our growing CPE business. In this critical role, you will be expected to demonstrate an innate drive to understand the continuing education market as it pertains to the CPA audience, proactively contribute as a strategic thought partner on the direction of PICPA’s live and digital programming and lead the team to successful execution of the strategic vision. You will manage the learning and development team, fostering a positive team environment, managing day to day tasks and responsibilities, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring that job responsibilities are being completed and objectives are met. Working closely with technology, marketing, communications, and learning & development, you’ll ensure that operations are running smoothly, while also identifying opportunities for improvement. You’ll serve as the project manager and product owner for new and existing lines of business, using data, member feedback, and the current learning landscape to develop and produce high quality CPE offerings.

 

The successful candidate will have demonstrated positive people management, project management, communication, and leadership skills, and move easily between involvement on a macro and micro level to foster continued improvement and growth in educational offerings and member engagement. This individual will partner with the VP – Learning and Development on all operational and strategic issues facing continuing education as they arise and participate in developing strategic recommendations to advance the CPE program based on financial and market analysis.

The salary range for this position is $75,000-$85,000. 

Requirements

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 7- 10 years of professional experience, including at least 5 years of staff management experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and empower others to succeed
  • Proven results in creating and managing to goals to achieve strategy execution
  • Data-driven approach to product management and development
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis and reporting; ability to communicate data to drive change
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships, both internally & externally
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of association management and the financial services industry is a plus
  • Experience in educational design and curriculum development is a plus
  • Accounting & finance subject matter knowledge is a plus
  • Position requires some travel
