Position Summary

The Manager Organizational Effectiveness will lead the development, facilitation and management of leadership and professional development programs across the organization. He/She is responsible for partnering with internal customers and key stakeholders to diagnose organizational needs and lead the design, development, and delivery of effective interventions aimed at closing identified performance gaps across all levels of the organization. He/she will lead and develop a team of high performing individuals, who are responsible for the conceptualization, design and implementation of all leadership development programs and organizational change initiatives at JetBlue Airways.


Essential Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Director of Organizational Effectiveness to provide strategic direction and daily support to the Organizational Effectiveness function – ensuring the team is focused on the high impact enterprise-wide programs and initiatives that support JetBlue’s corporate strategy and operational goals 
  • Partner closely with the Director Organizational Effectiveness to design, develop and implement an integrated Organizational Effectiveness strategy 
  • Partner with Crewleaders across the organization to provide thought leadership, consultation, coaching and project management support for all key strategic OE and organizational initiatives 
  • Lead the design, development and execution of current and future Leadership and Professional Development programs 
  • Ensure OE programs and courses are delivered consistently and maintain relevance, overseeing required course changes as deemed necessary through evaluations, needs assessments or organizational changes 
  • Provide direction, guidance, timely and constructive feedback to direct reports: onboarding plans, mid- and year-end performance management reviews, and ongoing feedback to support development opportunities 
  • Support and implement technology platforms, programs and initiatives, including learning management systems, virtual tools, and on-line/social learning programs 
  • Facilitate forums, workshops, advisory boards and other team meetings across the company, as requested by internal customers regarding change management, team building, customer focused innovation, etc. 
  • Develop capabilities to provide internal coaching for leaders across the company 
  • Continuously stay on top of new and developing trends in Leadership Development (e.g., Leadership, Social/Blended Learning, Training & Development, Social Collaboration Technology, TMS/LMS systems), Organizational Development (e.g., Strategy, Change Management, Innovation, Team Dynamics, Org Design) and apply to enhance current OE program initiatives 
  • Create and track appropriate evaluation tools, metrics and statistics on the results and organizational impact of all OE initiatives 
  • Develop and manage administrative tasks related to the annual budget and OE team development 
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Minimum Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial / Organizational Psychology, Organizational Change, Human Resources or related field 
  • Five (5) years of experience in the field of Learning Development and/or Organization Development 
  • Three (3) years of experience managing projects 
  • Proven experience designing, developing, and delivering large-scale, cross-departmental learning initiatives. 
  • Expertise of adult learning principles, organizational and leadership development best practices, and related theories with the demonstrated ability to translate it into practical application. 
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (25%) 
  • Able to pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test 
  • Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located


Preferred Experience and Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Industrial / Organizational Psychology, Organizational Change, Human Resources, Business Management or related field 
  • Expertise in leadership development as it pertains to instructional design, facilitation and program management 
  • Expertise in organizational development as it pertains to theories and practices of organizational design, strategic planning, change management and design thinking 
  • Working knowledge with learning analytics, measurement/evaluation methods, talent and learning management systems, career development and talent management and development 
  • Working knowledge of latest social collaboration e-learning tools, systems, and technologies 
  • Strong communication, presentation/facilitation and interpersonal skills including the ability to interact at all levels in the organization 
  • Team orientation and demonstrated ability to work well with others and set a collaborative environment 
  • Ability to problem solve and make decisions 
  • Highly organized in dealing with people and executing tasks, and a proven track record of producing results 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects to conclusion at once, with minimal guidance


Crewmember Expectations:

  • Regular attendance and punctuality 
  • Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice 
  • Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance 
  • When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft 
  • Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun 
  • Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management System 
  • Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards 
  • Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report(SAR)) 
  • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls 
  • Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities
