We are recruiting for an OD practitioner who wants to be part of our efforts in achieving our next level of success. If you are a person who enjoys hands-on tasks associated with helping teams improve their process efficiencies and manage change, here's an opportunity to not only work at San Jacinto College but also work closely with project teams, provide end-to-end support, and work with all levels of the organization

Responsibilities include coaching employees and leaders through the following activities:
  • Change management - communication plans, readiness assessments, stakeholder analysis, training plans, RASIs, etc
  • Business process mapping - flow charting and cross functional maps, current state, analysis, future state, etc
  • Organizational development - aligning people, strategy and processes; organizational effectiveness, process design/redesign, efficiency and impact measures, organizational design, goal setting and strategic planning; experience with performing organizational assessments of the culture, analyzing and evaluating results, using data to design/develop interventions or make recommendations that close gaps from current to some desired future state
  • Succession planning - competency assessments, job competency profiles, key metrics, individual development plans, 4-box grid, etc
  • Team development - team interventions to align teams with organizational objectives, understand team member preferences and strengths, communication and leadership styles, problem solving, conflict resolution, building trust, etc

Candidate must have strong facilitation and coaching skills; experience in leading small to medium change initiatives with the ability to facilitate cross-functional teams and/or meetings in order to influence effective decision making

Must have the ability to influence leaders and employees; is a self-starter and with a positive attitude; demonstrated ability to rapidly build rapport and trust with peers and leaders

Salary Grade: 27

Salary is based on the Board-approved salary schedule for the current fiscal year. See Salary Schedule

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in organizational development, human resources, business studies, organizational behavior/psychology
  • Five or more years' experience in at least three of the following areas: organizational development, business process mapping, change management, succession planning, and team development
