The Manager of Organizational Development and Learning will lead the design and implementation of high-impact and sustainable learning, talent, and organizational development programs that span the employee lifecycle in support of the company’s strategic goals and objectives. The Manager of Organizational Development and Learning will cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with HR and senior management, identify opportunities for enhancing organizational effectiveness, and provide systemic and straightforward approaches with measurable impact to addressing business needs.

Key Accountabilities

  • Partner with senior leadership to drive the company Mission, Vision and Behaviors (i.e., values) throughout the organization acting as a Culture Champion.
  • Build and execute strategies focused on enhancing the leadership skills of People Managers and Senior Leaders.
  • Understands the dynamics of the business; drives performance and career management.
  • Design, deliver and sustain talent management programs addressing organizational health, performance management, training, leadership development, succession planning, etc. practices and processes to build bench strength and create an effective organization.
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of various learning and development programs.
  • Manage external consultants, vendors, and training partners required for the development and delivery of training.
  • Collaborate with senior management to launch competency model and deliver learning and development opportunities that will enhance employees’ ability to demonstrate the competencies outlined in the model.
  • Manage and administer the college recruiting program including recruitment and continuous development of rotational training program.
  • Establish curriculum and development programs for front line employees through senior leadership and deliver content training.
  • Provide internal OD consulting and coaching of people managers and facilitate team building and strategy sessions.
  • Develops and executes change management plans for projects, initiatives, organizational structure and business climate changes.
  • Provide support for Diversity and Inclusion Programs.
  • Manage employee engagement survey program. Work with Executive Leadership and HR Director to analyze survey results, identify trends and make recommendations to improve and maintain high employee engagement.
  • Participate in and adhere to all training programs designed to enhance EH&S knowledge and safety standards.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master's or Doctoral Degree (Ph.D., Psy.D., MS/MA/MBA) in Organization Development, Learning, Leadership, Organization Psychology or other related fields preferred.
  • HR certification such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP preferred.
  • 7+ years required (and additional preferred) of mixed HR/OD/TM experience, ideally supported by HR generalist experience or other HR Specialty experience.
  • 5+ years of internal talent management and/or human capital leadership experience with strong knowledge and working experience in organizational design, performance management, organizational management and change management practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


  • Strong business acumen, as well as, advanced understanding of and practical experience in principles, methods and tools in the following disciplines: organizational effectiveness, change leadership, organizational design & systems design, cultural integration, performance consulting, team dynamics, executive coaching and high-performance teams.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to engage with personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documents.
  • Ability to facilitate senior level meetings and counsel business leaders on human capital and development topics.
  • Strategic in nature: able to build out organizational/individual competencies, utilize performance management systems, drive company culture.


  • Ability to evaluate skill requirements of the organization and develop solutions to fill gaps.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint and other commonly used software applications.
  • Strong Project Management skills, ideal candidate should be self-initiator, well organized and capable of handling multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to work through organizational complexity and ambiguity.


  • Experience within an operational, tactical generalist role at some point in your career.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary depending on experience including a short-term cash incentive bonus and long-term incentive awarded in restricted share units.
