Columbia Business School invites applications and nominations for the role of Senior Associate Dean of Executive Education. Reporting directly to the Dean of Columbia Business School, the Senior Associate Dean leads all activities of the Executive Education division and develops the strategic vision and direction for the enterprise.

The new Senior Associate Dean will assume leadership of an already successful program and will bring both a compelling vision of Ivy-League executive education and the ability to lead staff and deploy resources so as to operationalize that vision in a sustained and profitable way. The Senior Associate Dean will build on the division’s current strong state to ensure that Columbia’s executive-education programs remain known for innovation and excellence and continue to provide compelling opportunities for working executives to benefit from Columbia’s position “at the very center of business.”

The Senior Associate Dean works at the executive level with faculty and senior staff across the School as well as with partners and clients beyond Columbia to develop and deliver high-quality custom and open-enrollment executive-education programs worldwide for middle- and senior-level executives in public, private, government, and not-for-profit sectors. Engaging local, regional, national, and international organizations, the Senior Associate Dean develops effective strategies for establishing new programs, driving innovation in executive education, and maximizing revenue opportunities while sustaining the School’s commitment to the highest educational quality. Columbia Executive Education, like the other divisions of the Business School, will advance the mission of bridging theory and practice and fostering academic and social exchanges that give students the structure and opportunities they need to advance in personal and professional capacities.

Leading a team of 40, the Senior Associate Dean is responsible for the fiscal performance of the division, which this year is expected to generate more than $33M of revenue. For more information about the division, see https://www8.gsb.columbia.edu/execed/.
