Position Summary:
This role is accountable for assessing, designing, developing, planning and delivering learning programs to maximize the talent of NMDP employees and volunteers. Collaborates with the Learning & Development team and partners with organizational leaders to strategically identify and execute solutions to meet organizational needs. This role’s assignments range from moderate to highly complex (e.g. highly technical or complex organizational leadership development initiatives).


Instructional Design:
• Partner with business leads to drive instructional strategy for a variety of learning solutions. 
• Apply instructional design principles (i.e. ADDIE) to assess learning needs, design and develop instructional content, and evaluate the impact of learning solutions.
• Produce learning solutions via various learning software and tools. Create engaging e-Learning modules when it is the best teaching methodology.

Program Facilitation:
• Develop and deliver instructor led training programs including curriculum design, material development, and facilitation.
• Coordinate and manage outsourced facilitators, including vendors.
• Execute the strategy for leadership-, team- or career-development programs.

Project Strategy and Management:
• Lead and/or participate in cross-functional teams to identify talent needs and drive the learning strategy to meet those needs. Direct, assign, or manage the work of others on project teams (SMEs, etc.).
• Provides mentorship and serves as a resource to other Learning & Development team members for questions related to instructional design, facilitation, and learning strategy.

Required Qualifications:

Knowledge of:
• Leadership development frameworks and strategies.
• Facilitation techniques.
• Instructional design and adult learning principles.
• eLearning authoring tools (i.e., Articulate, Storyline).
• Microsoft Suite of products.
• Project management.

Ability to:
• Develop effective instructional content through authoring software (Articulate, Storyline, Adobe, etc.).
• Successfully engage diverse audiences through facilitated instructor led training programs.
• Stay abreast of relevant knowledge and practices in the learning and development field.
• Demonstrate a high degree of business acumen and ability to lead through influence versus direct authority.
• Communicate effectively in all situations with strong interpersonal and consultation skills.
• Establish strong working relationships with internal and external clients, using diplomacy to address conflict and resolve solutions successfully.
• Analyze and solve problems to achieve desired business results.
• Self-motivate to lead and execute projects on time and within budget.
• Prioritize rapidly and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Handle and maintain confidential information.
• Travel 1-3 trips per year (as needed).

Education and/or Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree, and a minimum of 5 years of learning & development experience or Associate degree and a minimum of 7 years of learning & development experience.
• Demonstrated success and experience in learning design, development, delivery and evaluation.
• Demonstrated experience delivering learning and development programs in a fast paced and high change work environment.
• Leadership role executing high visibility, organization-wide learning solutions.

Preferred Qualifications: (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration)
• Degree in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology, Adult Education, I/O Psychology, Organizational Development or Human Resources.
