We are currently seeking highly qualified candidates for a Senior Manager of Learning & Development to join our Human Resources & Compliance function in Richmond, Virginia. This role will report to Altria's Director of Learning & Development (L&D), who has responsibility for Altria's entire enterprise L&D strategy and execution. The enterprise L&D team currently will have six members. Altria's enterprise Learning & Development team will design, deliver, and measure programs and training that build stronger leaders at all levels, grow Our Leadership Advantage, and help ensure we have the talent and capabilities to achieve our future business goals. This position will be one of three for adult learning experts with proven ability to craft offerings that develop necessary skills, appeal meaningfully to end users, and accelerate culture change. Altria's employees already are a competitive advantage, and we are looking to increase that advantage by building out our enterprise L&D team and investing significant resources in this center of excellence. This role will help reshape how Altria attracts, develops, and engages the talent needed to maximize our core businesses while innovating for the future. Your Impact: * Help transform Altria's enterprise L&D strategy, approach, and overall value to the organization * Design and deliver programs, tools, and resources focused on a particular part of the enterprise-wide strategy and aligned with business/organizational goals * Identify, assess, and contract with external partners to provide L&D support that enables a full offering of effective services * Partner with other team members, ALCS HR Talent Analytics, and other stakeholders to measure effectiveness of L&D offerings * Engage with functional L&D contacts and coordinate offerings to ensure optimal experience for end users What we seek:* 7+ years of experience in L&D or related Human Resources function * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Instructional Design, Training & Development, General Business, or comparable field * Advanced degree in Organizational Development or comparable field strongly preferred * Additional HR or line experience also preferred * Solid strategic thinking, consulting, and influencing capability, coupled with the interest and ability to understand Altria's business at a deep level * Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including first-rate presentation and employee engagement skills * Ability to connect enterprise L&D strategy to functional efforts and collaborate to create a seamless, complete L&D offering to the end user * Well-developed project management, vendor management, contracting, and budgeting skills * Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, best practices, and trends * Strong proficiency in change management * Intellectual curiosity and willingness to try innovative ideas * One who naturally operates with a sense of urgency and has ability to balance effective collaboration with independent action * Skilled in group process and facilitation techniques; Able to design meetings and facilitate groups effectively * Travel may be required Become Part of Altria: Altria is a Fortune 200 company, proud to call Richmond, Virginia our home.
