The Specialist, Learning and Development is a member of the Human Resources team for the Americas region, and works closely with the global L&D team as well as regional business leaders. The role will specifically drive the implementation of training and learning initiatives, performance and talent management for the Americas region to support business objectives and strategy implementation.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with HR and Business Leaders to determine learning needs, outcomes and best delivery approach

  • Design and implement learning solutions using a variety of learning strategies (face-to-face, eLearning, blended learning scenarios)

  • Contribute to the development of the company´s global training program and ensure implementation for the region

  • Closely collaborate with external trainers and facilitators

  • Advise leaders and employees on learning needs and opportunities; acts as a consultant to business partners on the application of key learnings on-the-job

  • Run onboarding program utilizing blended learning opportunities; responsible for facilitating quarterly orientation sessions

  • Drive Talent Management and Succession Planning in close collaboration with the global L&D Team

  • Implement global Performance Management programs and processes regionally

  • Ensure alignment between regional and global teams

  • Manage and align internal training with need for external training and handle Tuition Reimbursement program

  • Design and organize regular learning events, i.e. lunch and learns

  • Provide guidance and tools to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and ensure training meets business needs and development goals

  • Deliver and facilitate learning activities as needed

Requirements

  • At least Bachelor’s degree, preferred Master’s degree in Learning and Development, Human Resources or related field and a minimum of 4 years related experience, including at least 2 years designing and developing comprehensive training programs
  • Hands-on experience in applying adult learning theories

  • Excellent facilitation skills and confidence presenting in front of a bigger audience

  • Expertise in designing presentations with PowerPoint

  • Solid project management skills

  • Detail-oriented and organized

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a global team
