The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is recruiting for an innovative and inspiring Talent Development and Learning Manager.  This talent development leader is enthusiastic about cultivating LAUSD’s employee development programs for members of the Classified (non-instructional) staff. Our new talent manager will have experience designing, delivering, and assessing the impact of a range of programs for diverse audiences, and will also have led a team engaged in these activities. Additionally, she or he will be familiar with a wide range of technology solutions utilized in the design, delivery and assessment of training programs and will be a motivated yet thoughtful manager.

The Talent Development and Learning Manager will direct our staff development programs for our Classified (non-instructional) employees. S/he will also set the direction and lead initiatives for all employees within our Classified workforce. Program initiatives focus in areas including: staff training, career development, leadership and organizational development, succession planning, and performance management. 

The current team consists of approximately one dozen professionals which support the two major functions of the unit:

The Organizational Excellence Staff Development Program offers a wide-range of innovative and leading-edge programs, including offerings in areas such as succession planning, and leadership, career, and talent development.

Our Classified Growth and Development Program offers a comprehensive performance management framework, which includes career growth and development tools, and also implements and oversees performance management initiatives.

At a minimum, a candidate must have a BA degree in a related field and five years of professional HR experience, including four years performing training functions and three years leading a training function with multiple units.
