The Technical Training Manager is responsible for working with Mercy Housing Management Group (MHMG) senior staff in designing and assuring the effective delivery of training to all national, regional, and property staff. Specifically, the Technical Training Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and delivering technical training programs that ensure that MHMG employees are able to effectively perform the duties of their positions. Gives high priority to the development and delivery of software and online training courses to reach the maximum number of staff.


  • In cooperation with MHMG senior leadership, develop a technical training strategy for all national, regional and property staff aimed at assuring that all employees are able to effectively perform their required duties and meet accountability targets
  • Design training plans and programs to meet the needs of new employees, employees requiring remedial training, and for general refresher and staff development purposes. Give particular emphasis to property software and property based technical training programs.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that Help Desk requests related to the property software are covered. Assist in responding to Help Desk questions.
  • Work collaboratively with MSC Mercy Housing staff across the organization to ensure that technical training needs are correctly assessed and an appropriate plan is in place to meet existing needs. Advise VP of Education and the education team on the technical aspects of training programs, including what software options exist for developing online courses and what features can be used to make web-based (Live Meeting) programs more engaging and effective.
  • Enhance the functionality of the Learning Management System (LMS) by maintaining and further developing the LMS and the training programs hosted there.
  • Serve as moderator for webinars facilitated by Mercy Housing partners, driving the technical functions of each event.
  • Monitor review process and manage updates to policies and procedures manuals and resources.


Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in education or related field required or other professional level training and/or certification required.

Minimum of three years experience in training program development and delivery. Accounting or Information Technology (IT) experience preferred. Yardi or OneSite experience preferred.  Experience with Learning Management Systems and webinar delivery a plus.
