At National Spine & Pain Centers (NSPC), our mission is to relieve pain and improve quality of life through personalized, accessible care.

We are currently looking for a Training & Development Specialist to support the team in designing and coordinating training programs based on company and employee requirements.  This role is based out of our corporate office in Rockville, MD.

Working under the guidance of the Sr. HR Manager, you will:

  • Assess existing training programs and materials through surveys, interviews with employees, or consultations with managers.
  • Maintain current and potential training materials from a variety of sources, across the organization, and throughout specific departments.
  • Project future training needs, including providing recommendations for associated resources and budget details. 
  • Design and compile training manuals, online learning modules, and course materials for companywide or specialized distribution.
  • Develop training resources by preparing notes and visual displays in coordination with training needs and specific support departmental needs.
  • Collaborate with internal and external clients to address training questions and requirements on behalf of the organization.
  • Deliver training to employees and departments using a variety of instructional techniques, including online and in-person classes.
  • Support organizational leadership in training program implementation and process development, ensuring companywide consistency and uniformity.
  • Monitor and evaluate training programs to ensure effectiveness and relevance, making recommendations for any improvements and/or adjustments.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of current regulations and changes to ensure training compliance.
  • Coordinate and lead New Hire Orientations and training schedules for incoming employees both locally and via online platforms.
  • Serve as primary administrator for company Learning Management System (LMS), including interfacing with current HRIS software as needed.
  • Travel off-site to conduct orientation and other training classes.
  • Perform administrative tasks including monitoring costs, scheduling classes, setting up systems and equipment, and coordinating enrollment.
  • Adhere to and uphold all applicable federal and state compliance regulations, the NSPC Code of Conduct, the NSPC Employee Handbook, compliance policies and procedures, and applicable healthcare fraud, waste and abuse laws.

 

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree, required.

  • Valid driver's license, required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in training program planning and implementation, preferably in the healthcare or technical field.
  • Knowledge of HRIS and LMS application and tools, required. 
  • Knowledge of standards of best clinical practice, as well as OSHA and HIPAA regulations, desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities, skilled in time and change management.
  • Self-motivated with stellar problem solving capabilities, requiring minimal supervision.
