The Training Assistant will work with the Firm’s I.T. Trainer’s to design and develop online training content. The Assistant will also be responsible for the administration of the Firm’s Learning Management System (LMS). This position will report to the Director of Program Management. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Learning Management System:   

  • Assist in the development and management of the Firm’s Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Administer LMS functions, which includes monitoring course content, course approvals, and evaluation processes ensuring processes are completed within given timeframes
  • Investigate and resolve any data or system inconsistencies or discrepancies
  • Analyze, identify, and communicate LMS system and business requirements to third-party content vendors, as well as the liaison between Firm and LMS vendor;
  • Create and update training requirements in the LMS 
  • Oversee the global distribution of SCORM training packages to compliance teams and troubleshoot all technical issues
  • Design and run ad hoc and standard reports 
  • Gather course completion data, analyze, and verify compliance metrics for compliance-related initiatives
  • Develop and package SCORM compliant courses into learning paths and programs based on user roles or training initiatives 
  • Communicate frequently with global stakeholders, content developers (third-party or internal) and others throughout development process to ensure seamless delivery of content on the LMS

eLearning Content:

  • Assist in the development of presentations, animations, and handout materials for training programs
  • Assist in the design and development initiatives related to eLearning and the strategies for technology development of lawyers and staff 
  • Consult with members of the business services team to recommend the most effective manner to deliver and offer virtual development opportunities

 Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 3-4 years of work experience in Computer Science or related field 
  • Previous experience in administering a Learning Management Systems (LMS) like Canvas, Saba, Cornerstone, or Moodle
  • Familiarity with Vynod, Photoshop, PowerPoint and Articulate
  • Experience with principles of adult learning and needs assessment techniques a plus
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading
  • Strong communications skills
  • Strong sense of creativity and the desire to innovate
