Woodmont Properties has an immediate need for a passionate, dedicated, and collaborative Training Manager in our Fairfield, NJ home office. In this role, you will provide functional expertise in the delivery of sales (leasing) training and management skills training. In this role, your area of focus will include the onboarding and training of newly hired Leasing Professionals, Assistant Community Managers and Community Managers within Property Management, and core management skills training for all managers across Woodmont Properties. Working closely with the Director of Human Resources, you will identify training needs and assist the director in working with consultants to design new training programs.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver onboarding and sales training to newly hired team members one-on-one, virtually and in classrooms. Onboarding will include the Woodmont annual goals, Woodmont values and culture, leadership standards as well as how we act and treat each other.
  • Develop curriculum for facilitated training based upon company needs. Deliver facilitated training courses.
  • Conduct regular field coaching with new hires to improve needed skills by conducting follow-up testing and reinforcement of acquired learning.
  • Deliver core management skills training to current and newly hired managers at all levels and across all WP departments.
  • Deliver other basic management and non-management skills training across the company, to encompass but not be limited to management, leadership, communications, teamwork, project management, interviewing, resident/client/contractor engagement, customer service, PC skills.
  • Assist in the non-training onboarding of new employees.
  • Assists in the planning and development of training delivery plans and curricula for a variety of performance-based training, including updating, maintaining, and developing instructional materials (print and digital) and performing research for and assisting in the design of curriculum, related materials, and visual aids.
  • Assists in conducting training needs assessments and make recommendations for new training programs.
  • Develop, monitor and analyze training results using training evaluation data garnered via testing, assessment of retention, to revise/modify training programs and delivery plans.
  • Maintains complete records of training programs, content, and participants to align with individual training needs.
  • Manage Grace Hill e-learning system, monitor compliance by generating monthly reports, assess the effectiveness of courses and make recommendations for changing e-learning curriculum.
  • Assist in the development and facilitation of webinars and e-based learning modules not specific to Grace Hill.
  • Compile monthly training articles to send to the Leasing Team for continuing motivation, policy clarification, general industry news and industry best practices.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Communications, Business, English, Social Science, or related field.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM - SCP or ATD - CPLP training certification preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience delivering adult training programs, which must include Sales Training Programs.
  • Three years of sales experience and proven track record of success by following a structured system.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the development and writing of training content.
  • Sales and / or sales training experiences in the Real Estate industry preferred but not required.
  • Working knowledge of Learning Management Systems.
  • Excellent writing, speaking, presentation, group facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated creativity and expertise in delivering training material in conformance with project objectives and in planning and coordinating training activities as assigned.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and non-traditional adult training methods and commitment to delivering/developing training that incorporates adult learning principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully work under pressure and attend to details, as well as effectively work on multiple projects with competing priorities/deadlines in shared staff resource setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office applications.
