This is a non-exempt union position.

SCOPE        

Coordinates New Staff Orientation (NSO) training program which includes scheduling classes, providing support to new employees and trainers, provision of training materials and technical assistance and tracking completion of courses; assists with administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) and development of online learning modules; provides support for other training-related projects and assists with other agency activities and projects as needed.

 

  • Works intra-departmentally to coordinate New Staff Orientation (NSO) and other trainings, prepares training-related materials and resources, tracks attendance of staff and other participants at trainings, provides assistance in coordinating trainings for consumers, families, and service providers, and participates as a trainer.
  • Assists with administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) to make training courses available to staff, vendors and others, as well as to schedule courses, track completion of courses and maintain employee transcripts.  
  • Coordinates the set up/break down of training classes for New Staff Orientation (NSO) and selected agency-wide training, arranges training supplies and materials, and deploys/operates audio-visual equipment.
  • Assists in the development, branding and maintenance of eLearning modules utilizing Articulate Storyline software, and uploads eLearning packages to the Learning Management System (LMS). 
  • Reviews instructor performance through online feedback evaluations in the Learning Management System (LMS), analyzes the data, and provides recommendations to management.
  • Assists in analyzing and assessing training and development needs for staff and the community.
  • Other projects as assigned. Overtime as needed. 

 

 

 

Requirements

EMPLOYMENT GUIDELINES:

Knowledge:      

  • Learning Management System (LMS) administration
  • Instructional Design and Development
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline

 Qualifications & Skills:    

  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a training coordinator
  • 1 to 3 years of experience working as a LMS administrator, preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Experience working with eLearning software. Articulate Storyline, preferred.
  • Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.

 

Education & Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one to three years of related experience or Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field and three to five years of experience.
  • Must be able to work occasional nights, weekends and holidays. This position requires the use of a personal vehicle while conducting business and must possess a valid (Class C) California driver’s license. Travel to Santa Clarita and Antelope Valleys will be required.

Salary range: $3,621 - $4,297 per month.

Please note that this position is subject to a temporary “add on” enhancement of 11% for qualified compensation from the date of hire to June 30, 2018.
