Value Added Sales Manager

 

Can be based in the following cities: Atlanta, Chicago, Salt Lake City, St. Louis, Toronto

 

Position Summary:


Maximizes sales representative effectiveness by determining and solving training needs.

  • Raising the level of Value added behavioral competencies in our Sales organization.

  • Responsible for value added sales culture to be engrained across the business (help stakeholders to use better/different sales techniques, sell value).

 

Reports to: SVP, National Sales

 

 Essential Functions:

  • Support the creation, implementation and sustainability of Value Added Selling Culture within Dyno Nobel.

  • Manage, build, and implement the creation of Account Management training programs around Value Added Selling behavioral skills and competencies.

  • Develop and assess training competencies in Sales team.

  • Prepares new Account Managers by conducting orientation to sales process; developing individual coaching plans; providing resources and assistance; scheduling orientation drive-along with senior representatives.

  • Determines training needs by traveling with Account Managers; observing sales encounters; studying sales results reports.

  • Evaluate and report on strengths and weaknesses to identify training needs.

  • Providing coaching; conducting training sessions; developing plans to improve outcome.

  • 60-70% of time is spent on field-level coaching.

  • Improves training effectiveness by developing new approaches and techniques; making support readily available.

  • Evaluate sales team performance to ensure incorporation of taught techniques.

  • Report on training program effectiveness.

  • Stay up-to-date with employee development trends.

  • Provide support for implementation of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) - National Sales Pipeline & Account Plan tool.

  • Support improvements to internal best practices.

  • Support VIP Program.

  • Act as a Dyno Nobel ambassador to our VIP customers.

  • Help support Value-Added program (Value Improvement process).

  • Advocate VIP to external customers in conjunction with local Account Manager.

  • Support internal and external customers in the implementation of Value Improvement Process.

     

    Requirements:

    • BSc degree in Education, Marketing, Human Resources or relevant field.

    • Additional certification in training is a plus.

    • Experience: Value Added Sales experience; HR and coaching experience; Training experience (5 years).

    • Extensive knowledge of learning principles and modern training techniques.

    • Experience in evaluating training program effectiveness.

    • Proven work experience as a Sales training specialist or Sales training coordinator.

    • Technical: Salesforce, proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, including Excel, Word, and Power Point.
