ABA is seeking a Vice President, Online Training who will be responsible for oversight and/or direct management of assigned projects, initiatives or functions aligned around ABA’s online training business. These can include specific development projects, client-focused assignments, pre-sales solution's and presentations, as well as market positioning development and in-LMS marketing optimization.

In addition, this position is expected to leverage their expertise in the online training industry to conduct market & industry research, competitive analyses and customer trend analyses in order to inform ABA online training product innovation and technology and to strengthen ABA training’s overall competitive advantage in the marketplace.

This position will also provide operational and tactical support in ABA training business operations for budgeting/forecasting, business process improvement and vendor management.

This function directly supports the Senior Vice President Training & Development, and works closely and collaboratively with members of the online training teams in product development, technology management, client success management and ABA Member and Customer support. This position will interact closely with OME Market Management, Sales/Relationship Management team, Marketing team and Membership team.

Key Responsibilities:

The Vice President, Online Training will:

  • Provide oversight and/or direct management of online training projects or initiatives in collaboration with product development staff and key vendors.
  • Collaborate with Office of Member Engagement sales team to support selected client acquisition and retention efforts, and with ABA Marketing and Membership to develop key messaging to position ABA training and professional development as a key member benefit.
  • Provide deep industry expertise in online training, conduct bank training market and competitive analyses, engage with selected customers and participate in ABA’s various banker councils/advisory boards to gather insights to inform and guide ABA online training competitive positioning as well as to develop client success stories and references.
  • Establish and maintain regular thought-leadership channels (i.e. blogs, newsletters, articles, webinars, podcasts, user groups, social media etc.) to build ABA’s reputational leadership as the premiere resource for online bank training.
  • Develop and execute in-LMS marketing plans in collaboration with LMS technical staff to take advantage of inherent machine-learning capabilities and the robust learner engagement on the platform.
  • Provide operational support as requested by the SVP in areas such as budgeting/forecasting, contract management, and vendor management.

Requirements

A minimum 9-11 Years of experience in for-profit online training market in a product development, marketing or business management role.

  • 4-year degree.
  • Direct experience in online learning development processes, tools and systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow and adapt to changing online learning market and technical trends.
  • Ability to articulate value propositions for online training at the individual and organizational level.
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Strategic mindset, ability to make difficult decisions.
  • Working knowledge of online content marketing channels such as blogs, and online newsfeeds and solid knowledge of SEO, web analytics and GTM reporting.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems, including Cornerstone LMS.
  • Experience in banking or financial services training.
